Compression Forming of Zirconia Grinding Balls

DESCRIPTION

Compression Forming of Zirconia Grinding Balls

This is a common shaping method for large size ceramic grinding media. There are mainly dry pressing (the powder contains water or additives 3%-7%) and isostatic pressing (the powder contains water or additives below 3%). Dry pressing has the characteristics of convenient and simple operation method, low technology and capital investment, but due to uneven pressure distribution, the internal distribution of the green body is inconsistent, which affects the overall performance of the product. In order to increase the density of the green body, it is often used in actual production. A method of increasing pressure. But the pressure is not the bigger the better. When the limit pressure is exceeded, the pressure will reduce the density of the green body, which is caused by spalling. The green body formed by isostatic pressing has high strength, high density and uniformity, and can prepare high-performance and high-quality grinding media balls. Therefore, two methods can be combined to produce high-performance ceramic balls in industry.

Brief description of the process: the powder and various additives are mixed and then sprayed and granulated, then the powder is added to the metal mold to preform the ball, and then the molded body is subjected to cold isostatic pressing to obtain the ball billet. The green body prepared by this process has high density, and the fired ceramic ball has high density and good quality. The isostatic pressing method requires large investment in processing equipment and high post-processing costs. It is generally used to produce large-size high-quality grinding balls with a diameter greater than 10mm.

Jiangsu High Industry focuses on the research and production of isostatic pressing moulds, customizes various dry bag and cold isostatic pressing moulds, adapts to different models of various manufacturers at home and abroad, and deeply understands the needs of various industries. Alloy, graphite and other industries provide high-performance isostatic pressing mold rubber sleeves.

Product overview: Isostatic pressing rubber mold is used for the molding of ceramic materials, tungsten and molybdenum materials, graphite materials, refractory materials, and alloy powders. It can be customized according to drawings, and can be designed according to samples.

Product features: The deformation of the elastic mold under the pressure of the liquid medium is transmitted to the powder in the mold. The friction between the powder and the mold wall is small, the blank is uniformly stressed, and the density distribution is uniform, and the pre-pressed blank is encapsulated. In the elastic rubber mold, it is put into the high-pressure cylinder after sealing, and the green body is compressed and formed by liquid transfer.

Product advantages: The design of the mold cover is reasonable to ensure no water leakage, the blank is well formed, and the service life is long, including the fixture for processing the blank, which can be customized! There is a free amount of open steel molds.
