Isostatic Pressing
Isostatic pressing technology is a method of applying Pascal's principle and relying on high-pressure liquid or gas to exert equal pressure in all directions of the powder for molding. Commonly used pressure transmission media are liquids. Because the compressibility of brake fluid or anhydrous glycerin is very small, almost all the pressure can be transmitted to the elastic mold, so these two liquids are often used as pressure transmission medium.
Features of isostatic pressing
Each part of the powder is under uniform pressure and the pressure is very high, so that the product obtained in this way has a high and uniform density, so that the deformation and shrinkage of the product during the firing process are greatly reduced, and the general molding method will not appear.
Firing cracks in molded products caused by stress due to density differences.
Isostatic pressing method
According to the pressure medium and molding temperature, it can be divided into cold isostatic pressing (the medium is liquid at room temperature) and hot isostatic pressing (the medium is gas, and pressurization and heating are carried out at the same time).
The so-called isostatic pressing method usually refers to the cold isostatic pressing method.
