Cold Isostatic Pressing Technology


Cold isostatic pressing technology refers to the isostatic pressing molding technology carried out at room temperature. Usually rubber and plastic are used as the mold material for the jacket, and the liquid is used as the pressure medium with a pressure of 100-630Mpa. It is mainly used for powder molding. The powder mixture is isostatically pressed, compacted and encapsulated by uniform pressure from all directions.

 

Isostatic pressing confines the metal powder within a flexible film or sealed container, which acts as a pressure barrier between the powder and the surrounding pressurized medium, liquid or gas. Its purpose is to provide preforms for the next step of sintering, forging or hot isostatic pressing. The isostatic press can also be used to compress pharmaceutical particles and raw materials into a predetermined shape. The use of this pressing system ensures a uniform compaction pressure throughout the powder mass and a uniform density distribution of the final product.
