1. Wet bag method cold isostatic pressing activated alumina ball
In the process of forming active alumina balls by cold isostatic pressing with wet bag method, the powder is first filled into a soft mold (rubber mold) with a spherical inner cavity, the soft mold must be sealed, put into a cold isostatic working cylinder (high pressure container), and through the ultra-high pressure (generally above 1oopa) liquid medium, so that the soft mold and powder are evenly compressed at the same pressure in all directions, and the pressure is released. The soft mold and its inner blank (rubber mold wet, rubber mold wet) are removed from the cold isostatic pressure working cylinder, and the spherical blank is obtained by removing the mold outside the working cylinder. The activated alumina spheres formed by this method have high density and uniformity, which is superior to other forming methods.
2. Dry isostatic pressure of activated alumina balls
Dry isostatic forming is the most advanced forming method at present. It is easy to achieve automated production and is less affected by human factors. The consistency of shape and appearance is better than that of wet bag cold isostatic pressing. In general, the pressure time from the initial pressure to the end of the pressure is within one minute. When the pressure is released, the gas in the body must be expelled in a short period of time. If the water content of the powder is not uniform or the granulation size is not suitable, it is easy to crack or even burst, so it is required to use this method to form a powder with high requirements for powder forming performance, and spray granulation must be carried out.
