Cold isostatic pressing of alumina ceramic ball by wet pack method is to fill powder into a soft mold (rubber mold) with a spherical inner cavity, the soft mold (rubber mold) is sealed and put into the working cylinder (high pressure container) of the cold isostatic press, and introduce high pressure (generally more than 100 mpa) liquid medium, so that the soft mold and powder are evenly compressed in all directions with equal pressure. After pressure relief, the soft mold and its internal body are removed from the working cylinder of the cold isostatic press. The alumina porcelain ball formed by this method has high density and good uniformity, which is the best of all the forming methods.

At present, the dry isostatic pressing of high aluminum ball is a relatively advanced forming method, which is easy to realize automatic production and has little influence on human factors. The consistency of the shape and appearance of the blank body is better than that of wet cold isostatic pressing. Usually, the pressure cycle from the beginning of pressure to the end of pressure relief is within one minute, and in the process of pressure relief, the gas inside the green should be discharged in a short time. If the moisture of the powder is not uniform or the particle size is not appropriate, the green billet is easy to break, even crush and explode. Therefore, this method requires the molding properties of the powder, and the powder is sprayed and granulated.
