Isostatic pressing is an advanced technology for manufacturing high-precision parts. Through the isostatic molding process, the organizational structure of metal materials such as stainless steel can be optimized and improved to improve their performance and service life. Isostatic pressing technology has been widely used in manufacturing high performance aerospace parts, military equipment, automotive engines and other fields.

Isostatic pressing, also known as hydrostatic forming, is a forming method that uses the incompressibility of the liquid medium and the uniform transfer of pressure. That is, the pressure of the sample in the high pressure vessel is the same as the pressure of the static water in the same depth, so it is called hydrostatic or isostatic pressure, and the forming process obtained according to this principle is called hydrostatic molding, or isostatic molding.

The operation process of the isostatic pressing equipment is: first load the prepared billet into an elastic mold made of plastic or rubber, place it in a high-pressure container, seal it, drive the high-pressure liquid medium, and transfer the pressure to the elastic mold so as to add jade to the billet. Then the pressure is released to remove the mold, and the molded blank is removed from the mold.

The liquid medium can be water, oil or glycerin. However, a medium with small compressibility should be selected, such as brake oil or anhydrous glycerin.

Elastic mold materials should be selected with good elasticity, good oil resistance rubber or similar plastics.
