Cold isostatic pressing technology is at room temperature, through the use of rubber or plastic as a coating mold material, liquid as the pressure medium, mainly used for powder material molding, for further sintering or hot isostatic pressing process to provide body. Cold isostatic pressing technology is divided into wet bag method and dry bag method.
Wet bag isostatic pressing method is to wrap the billet (or pre-pressing treatment) in an elastic plastic or rubber mold, seal it and put it into a high-pressure cylinder, and press the billet through liquid transfer. This method can change the shape and size of the plastic envelope, and the product is very flexible, suitable for small-scale production. But every time to carry out manual bagging, unloading operation, production efficiency is not high. This method is mainly used for the production of large and shaped parts.
· Wet-bag isostatic pressing bags/molds
Dry bag isostatic pressing is the elastic mold semi-fixed, not immersed in the liquid medium, but sealed by the upper and lower pistons. The pressure pump injects the liquid medium between the high-pressure cylinder and the pressurized rubber, and transfers the pressure through the liquid and the pressurized rubber to make the body pressurized. This method can be operated continuously, that is, the upper cover of the mold is opened, the material is loaded, and then the upper cover is pressurized to form, and when the material is discharged, the upper cover is opened and the compact is pushed out from the top through the top rod at the bottom. Short operation cycle, suitable for mass production.
