    The cold isopress is to put the material into a sealed elastic mold, put it into a container filled with liquid or gas, and apply a certain pressure with liquid or gas to compact the material and form it into a green body. When the pressure is released, the mold is removed from the container, and after demoulding, the blank is further shaped as required. Cold isostatic press extrusion molding methods can be divided into two types: wet bag cold isostatic press and dry bag cold isostatic press.

Wet bag cold isostatic press. Including elastic mould, high pressure vessel, top cover, rack and so on. This method suspends the mold in the liquid, also known as the float method. Multiple molds can be placed in the high pressure vessel at the same time.

 

    Dry bag cold isostatic press. It is mainly composed of compression mold, high pressure container, elastic mold, limiter, brick press and so on. This method is to fix the elastic die head in the high-pressure container and position it with a stopper, so it is also called the fixed die method. During the operation, the punch is lifted to load the powder into the mold, and after the material is installed, the upper opening is sealed with a pressure punch. Under the action of pressure, the liquid medium is injected between the inner wall of the cylinder and the outside of the mold, and at the same time, uniform pressure is applied to all directions in the mold. Use the top brick to push out the demoulding body from the mold. The cold isostatic press is mainly composed of elastic mold, cylinder (high pressure container), frame, hydraulic system and so on.

 

    Elastic mold. Made of rubber or resin material. The particle size and shape of the material have a great influence on the life of the mold. The key to isostatic pressing is mold design, and the compact uniformity of green body size is closely related to the mold. When the material is loaded into the mold, it is difficult to fill the edges and corners on the material. Vibration charging can be used, or vacuuming while vibrating, the effect is better.

 

    The isostatic pressing mold is used for wet bag isostatic press or dry bag isostatic press as a soft mold for transmitting pressure, also known as sheath. It is a soft mold obtained by enlarging the size of the body in proportion. It can be filled with powder or packed into a preformed body, sealed and placed in a liquid for isostatic pressing, also known as wet bag isostatic pressing. It can also be made into a suitable size dry bag rubber isostatic pressing mold for dry bag isostatic pressing.
