Main description:

Cold isostatic pressing is a technology to achieve isostatic pressing at room temperature. Usually, rubber or plastic is used as the coating mold material, and liquid or elastomer (plastic, rubber, etc.) is used as the pressure medium. When the pressure medium is liquid, it is called liquid isostatic pressure. Among them, the water containing rust inhibitor as the pressure medium is called water isostatic pressure; Oil as the pressure medium is called oil isostatic pressure; When the pressure medium is elastomer (such as plastic, rubber, etc.), it is called balanced pressing, soft molding or thick mold pressing. Cold isostatic pressing is mainly made of dry powder forming, to provide pre-formed billet for further sintering, forging or hot isostatic pressing. Because of the different molding molds used, cold isostatic pressure can be divided into "wet bag" type (or "free" mode) isostatic pressure and "dry bag" type (or "fixed" mode) isostatic pressure, and the corresponding use of wet bag isostatic press or dry bag isostatic press.

Cold Isostatic Pressing Molds/Moulds

Cold isostatic pressure technique

Wet bag isostatic pressing is to put the powder into the forming mold (that is, the envelope) first, and then put the dry high-pressure cylinder to press after sealing. In the process of wet bag isostatic pressing, the envelope is completely immersed in the liquid and contacts with the pressure transfer medium. Dry bag isostatic pressing is the molding mold (that is, the envelope) permanently fixed in the high pressure cylinder, the powder directly filled into the envelope of the high pressure cylinder for pressing. Wet-bag isostatic press has strong usage, especially for experimental research and small batch production. Its main advantages are that it can simultaneously press more than two different shapes of parts in a high pressure cylinder, and can produce large and complex shapes of parts, and the eye production process is short and low cost. Dry bag isostatic press is suitable for mass production of simple shaped parts. This kind of equipment is professional and easy to automate.

Jiangsu High Tech Co., Ltd. is located in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu. It is a high-tech enterprise that develops and produces high-performance polyurethane products, cold isostatic pressing molds and cold isostatic pressing machines. The company's main products are polyurethane isostatic pressing molds and cold isostatic pressing machines. The company's products are widely used in all walks of life in China and exported to more than 30 regions around the world. They are widely praised by customers for their excellent quality and good service. The company always adheres to the product concept of "quality first" and has a deep understanding of customer needs. The company has been committed to the research and development and production of high-performance polyurethane elastomer molds for many years, and solves various design and production problems of polyurethane elastic molds for isostatic pressing users. The company has mature production and processing technology and a complete set of experimental equipment for mold elastomer analysis. In order to ensure the excellent impact resistance, abrasion resistance, cutting, tear resistance and clarity of the product and excellent dimensional stability. Its products are widely used in magnetic materials, ceramics, cemented carbide, high temperature refractory materials, rare earth permanent magnets, carbon materials, rare metal powders and other industries.

Compare to traditional rubber cold isostatic pressing bags, the polyurethane CIP bags have significant advantages. As a new polymer material, polyurethane products feature smooth surface, wearing-resistant, anti-fatigue, low deformation rate. The surface of pressed products with polyurethane bags is much smoother than that pressed with rubber bags, thus it possesses better looks and less postprocessing is required. It’s an ideal tool for powder material forming by press process, which can help a company reduce cost and increase efficiency.
