DESCRIPTION

Cold isostatic Pressing and Cold Isostatic Pressing Ceramic

Cold isostatic pressing

Put the material in the sealed elastic mold into a container filled with liquid or gas, apply a certain pressure with liquid or gas (generally the pressure is 100-400mpa), and press the material into a solid, in the original shape. After releasing the pressure, remove the mold from the container. After demoulding, the green body is further shaped as required to provide a green body for further sintering, forging and hot isostatic pressing processes. Mainly used for pressing high-quality powder products, used for high-voltage electric porcelain, electric carbon, electromagnetic, etc.

Although dry pressing is one of the most basic and simplest molding methods. However, due to the uneven distribution of density and stress, delamination is easy to occur, especially when the pressure is high. And because the dry area molding is only suitable for simple shapes. Samples with large cross-sectional area but small height, such as blocks and discs. It is not suitable for long rod-shaped or long-street-shaped samples with large aspect ratio and other complex shapes. The cold isostatic pressing method can make up for the lack of dry area forming.

Cold isostatic compaction is to fill the powder into a compressible mold (such as a rubber mold). Seal after venting. Put it in a sealed high-pressure container of susceptible fluid, and then pressurize the container through the fluid system in the sick area, and the compressible mold filled with powder in the high-pressure fluid is subjected to the same pressure from all directions, so that the molding The body is evenly compacted. This can greatly reduce the uneven stress distribution and density caused by the friction between the mold wall and the powder, resulting in delamination, peeling, etc., thereby improving the quality of the molded green body. Cold isostatic pressing compared to sub-forming. In addition to obtaining a molded body with uniform density and no defects and being used for parts with a large aspect ratio and complex shapes, it can also achieve a high pressure applied to 400 MPa to 500 MPa. Therefore, the density of the molded body is further improved, and favorable conditions are created for subsequent sintering densification.

Jiangsu High Tech Co., Ltd. is located in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu. It is a high-tech enterprise that develops and produces high-performance polyurethane products, cold isostatic pressing molds and cold isostatic pressing machines. The company's main products are polyurethane isostatic pressing molds and cold isostatic pressing machines. The company's products are widely used in all walks of life in China and exported to more than 30 regions around the world. They are widely praised by customers for their excellent quality and good service. The company always adheres to the product concept of "quality first" and has a deep understanding of customer needs. The company has been committed to the research and development and production of high-performance polyurethane elastomer molds for many years, and solves various design and production problems of polyurethane elastic molds for isostatic pressing users. The company has mature production and processing technology and a complete set of experimental equipment for mold elastomer analysis. In order to ensure the excellent impact resistance, abrasion resistance, cutting, tear resistance and clarity of the product and excellent dimensional stability. Its products are widely used in magnetic materials, ceramics, cemented carbide, high temperature refractory materials, rare earth permanent magnets, carbon materials, rare metal powders and other industries.

Compare to traditional rubber cold isostatic pressing bags, the polyurethane CIP bags have significant advantages. As a new polymer material, polyurethane products feature smooth surface, wearing-resistant, anti-fatigue, low deformation rate. The surface of pressed products with polyurethane bags is much smoother than that pressed with rubber bags, thus it possesses better looks and less postprocessing is required. It’s an ideal tool for powder material forming by press process, which can help a company reduce cost and increase efficiency.
