DESCRIPTION

Cold Isostatic Pressing

Cold isostatic pressing, also known as hydrostatic pressing, is a forming method that utilizes the incompressibility of liquid medium and the uniform transmission of pressure. This method can apply pressure in all directions of the bad body at the same time, so the pressed green body has good uniformity.

The cold isostatic pressing method has the following characteristics:

① It can form large and slender products with complex shapes that cannot be produced by general methods, and the forming quality is high;

②The forming pressure can be easily increased without increasing the difficulty of operation, and the pressure effect is better than other dry pressing methods;

③Because the green body is under uniform pressure in all directions, its density is high and uniform, and its firing shrinkage is small, so it is not easy to deform;

④Easy mold making, long service life and low cost;

⑤ Less or no binder can be used.

Cold isostatic pressing is divided into wet and dry isostatic pressing. Wet isostatic pressing is to enclose the pre-pressed blank in an elastic rubber mold or plastic mold, and then place it in a high-pressure container to apply high-pressure liquid. The forming pressure of the blank is usually above 100MPa. Its characteristic is that the mold is in high-pressure liquid and is under pressure in all directions. This method is mainly suitable for forming products with many varieties, complex shapes, small output and large size.

Compared with wet isostatic pressing, the molds of dry isostatic pressing are not all in liquid, but semi-fixed. The addition of blanks and the removal of blanks are all operated in a dry state, so it is called dry isostatic pressing. isostatic pressing. Dry isostatic pressing is more suitable for the production of long, thin-walled, and tubular products with simple shapes. If it is slightly improved, it can be used in continuous automatic production.
