Custom CIP mold, cold isopressing bags and mold, It can be observed that the diameter at top and bottom of the compact is larger than diameter at the middle which is termed as elephant foot structure as shown in Fig-1. The occurrence of this irregular shape, almost 40wt% of the material is green machined and the powders generated are re-processed resulting in increased manufacturing lead time, reduces machine capacity, increase in powder re-processing. 

Through this process, the mold is placed into a pressure chamber and filled with a room-temperature liquid before the press applies the pressure from all sides, condensing the metal powder. As a result, the powder particles mechanically bond to each other, creating a solid green body. Finally, the liquid is removed and the container expands to its original form so that the product can be retrieved.
