What is ITO target?
ITO target appearance is very similar to tiles, but far more complex than tile calcination, is made of indium oxide and tin oxide powder mixed in a fixed proportion after a series of production process molding, and then high-temperature atmosphere sintering (1700 degrees, through oxygen sintering) to form the black and gray Ceramic semiconductor. Usually the larger the target size, the less sputtering to the flat plate, and the higher the value.
ITO target is a slightly teal transparent substance in thin film form and yellowish gray in block form. But it is not like paint to be painted on the flat glass, but first made into a standard size solid target, by the manipulation of magnetron sputtering “gunner”, constantly “shooting”, will be vaporized sputtering to the glass substrate or flexible organic film, forming a layer ITO film. The thickness of this film varies according to the functional requirements, generally in the range of 30 nm to 200 nm.
ITO target advantages and uses
Advantages of ITO target
ITO target has high performance advantages, and has a relatively high heat resistance impact, in use will not cause damage to the equipment, while its purity is high. At present, many electronic products in the market are used in flat panel displays, LCD computers, LCD TVs into thousands of households, LCD products are relatively high in appearance or texture, and can reduce energy consumption.
The use of ITO target
ITO target is widely used in all major industries, its main applications are: flat panel display (FPD) industry, such as thin film transistor display (TFT-LCD), liquid crystal display (LCD), electrically excited light display (EL), electro-organic light-emitting flat panel display (OELD), field emission display (FED), plasma display (PDP), etc.; photovoltaic industry, such as thin-film solar cells; functional glass, such as infrared reflective glass, anti-UV glass such as curtain wall glass, cars, aircraft on the anti-fog windshield, photomask and glass-type disks and other three major domains. But the main application is still in the flat panel display, it is the main raw material for sputtering ITO conductive film, without its presence, many materials will not be able to achieve normal processing as well as design. ITO film due to the transparency of visible light and good conductivity, but also widely used in liquid crystal display glass, curtain wall glass and aircraft, anti-fog windshield on the car, etc..
