The Advantages of Isostatic Pressing 

The working principle of isostatic pressing technology is to put the pressed green body into the closed high-pressure chamber, cover the outer surface of the green body with elastic mold, fill the high-pressure liquid into the high-pressure chamber, apply hundreds of MPa of high pressure, and the green body will contract uniformly under the action of uniform pressure in all directions.

After reaching the predetermined pressure and maintaining for a certain period of time, a highly compact green body can be obtained. The green body after isostatic pressing has good strength and is convenient for machining. The compactness and uniformity of the green body can improve the mechanical properties.

 Compared with traditional dry pressing, isostatic pressing has the following advantages

1. The density of green body is higher, which is about 10% higher than that of dry pressing.

2. It can be used to make green bodies with large size or complex shape.

3. The green body has good strength and is easy to carry and machine directly.

4. The results show that the density of the green body is uniform in all directions, the stress in the green body is small, the defects such as cracking and delamination of the green body are reduced, and the deformation of the sintered products is small.
