Priciple

The use of fluid (water, oil) as a transfer medium to obtain uniform static pressure is a method of applying a uniform static pressure to a material as a transfer medium. That is, using the incompressibility of the liquid medium to uniformly transmit pressure, pressurize from all directions, and obtain a molding method for products.

Advantage:

1. The pressure is transmitted from all directions, the density distribution of the green compact is uniform, and the green compact strength is high.

2. The green body has high density, less uniform defects, and the firing shrinkage is one lower than that of ordinary dry pressing;

Parts with concave, elongated, and other complex shapes.

3. Small friction loss and low molding pressure.

4. The mold cost is low.

Disadvantages: The size and shape of the green compact are not easy to precisely control, the productivity is low, and it is not easy to realize

now automated;

Isostatic pressing method:

There are two types of isostatic pressing methods: cold isostatic pressing and hot isostatic pressing. Cold isostatic pressing is divided into wet isostatic pressing and dry isostatic pressing. The mold is in a high-pressure liquid, and all sides are pressurized, so it is called wet isostatic pressing. It is mainly suitable for molding multi-variety, complex shape, small output and large-scale products. Dry isostatic pressing can form slender rod-shaped or tubular blanks that are difficult to prepare by conventional large-scale pressing processes. The product has high strength and good machinability, which can greatly reduce the internal stress. The mold is easy to make, has a long life and relatively low cost. It can form large-sized blanks with small machining allowance and save raw material costs.
