The green body structure after grouting is more consistent. However, its water content is large and uneven, so drying shrinkage and firing shrinkage are large. Due to the large adaptability of the grouting method, as long as there is a porous model (generally a plaster mold), it can be produced, regardless of the production volume. It is widely used in ceramic production, but the grouting process has a long production cycle, many manual operations, high labor intensity, large floor space and large mold consumption.
A hole is made at the top of the mold, through which a specially formulated slurry is injected into the mold. This slurry is chemically added to keep the slurry in suspension for a certain period of time. The dry plaster mold will absorb the slurry immediately after contacting it. Moisture and suspended sediment will be evenly adsorbed on the inner wall of the mold. The thickness of the adsorbed mud varies with the length of time. The time for thin tires is shorter, and the time for thicker tires is longer. After the thickness is reached, the mud is poured out of the mold, and after the mud adsorbed on the inner wall of the mold is slightly dried, the mold can be opened to take out the prepared mud blank; the molding process of the porcelain is completed.
