The advantage of the cold isostatic pressing bags/mold (CIP bags)


Commonly used isostatic pressing moulds include polyurethane isostatic pressing moulds and rubber isostatic pressing moulds. In traditional isostatic pressing equipment, rubber is widely used due to its earlier application in isostatic pressing molds. However, in recent years, polyurethane has gradually become well known, because of its excellent elasticity, it is replacing rubber products in various industries at an alarming rate, including isostatic pressing rubber molds in isostatic pressing equipment. What are the advantages of polyurethane isostatic pressing mould compared with rubber isostatic pressing mould? Mainly reflected in the following aspects:


1.The application range is wider. Polyurethane materials have a wide range of hardness, and can be made into isostatic pressing molds of different hardness according to different equipment or pressing processes. For example, when pressing large-sized workpieces, use a polyurethane material with a higher hardness to make a rigid mold, which has a good support force when charging, and the mold will not be deformed; when pressing some special-shaped parts, use a low-hardness polyurethane soft mold , easy to demould after pressing, easy to use. These characteristics are not met by isostatic pressing rubber molds.

2.The polyurethane isostatic pressing mold has higher precision. The polyurethane mold is made by casting, with higher precision and more uniform material, and the advantages are more obvious when pressing high-precision products.

3. Small deformation and high yield. Polyurethane isostatic pressing mold is cast from liquid polyurethane prepolymer, the material is more uniform, the pressure transmission is more uniform during the pressing process, and no bending or twisting occurs.

4. The service life is longer. Polyurethane has better pressure resistance than rubber, rebounds quickly after pressing, small deformation, and does not reduce the accuracy of long-term use. Moreover, the surface of the isostatic pressing rubber mold is prone to oxidation and stickiness after being used for a long time. The polyurethane material has anti-oxidation ability, and the mold performance will not decrease after long-term use or placement.

5. The surface of the polyurethane mold is smoother, and the surface of the pressed finished product is also very smooth, the post-processing is reduced, the efficiency is improved, and the cost is reduced.

6. Easy to demould. Polyurethane has good resilience, non-stick material, rapid demoulding after pressing, less post-processing and high efficiency.
