Carbon Material Molding Method
(1) Molding method. The molding method is to make a mold according to the shape and size of the product, then put a certain amount of kneaded paste into the mold, apply pressure to the paste, and compress the paste, and finally press the green body from the Just eject it from the mold. According to the different forms of applying pressure to the paste, it can be divided into one-way molding (applying pressure to the paste from the upper or lower part) and two-way molding (applying pressure to the paste at the same time from the top and bottom). The molding method is suitable for pressing products with little difference in size in three directions, uniform density and dense structure. The commonly used equipment for the molding method is a vertical hydraulic press.
(2) Extrusion method. The extrusion method is to put the paste into the paste cylinder of the hydraulic press, apply pressure to the paste with the main plunger of the press, the paste is continuously compacted and moved, and finally extrude the green body of the required shape through the replaceable mouth , cut off with a cutter after reaching the required length. Extrusion molding is widely used in the production of carbon fiber materials. It can press blanks of various products. It has the advantages of large production capacity and high production efficiency. It is suitable for pressing long cylindrical or tubular green bodies. Extrusion can be used for semi-continuous production. Common extrusion molding equipment includes horizontal hydraulic extrusion machines (oil pressure or hydraulic pressure) and screw extrusion machines.
(3) Vibration forming method. The vibration molding method is to put the paste into the mold, and at the same time place a weight and a hydraulic device on the paste to apply pressure, and use the high-speed vibration of the machine (frequency 20-30Hz, amplitude 0.1-3mm) to make the mold installed in the mold The paste is in a state of strong vibration, so that the paste is densely formed. Vibration forming is suitable for the production of thick and short green bodies and special-shaped green bodies with similar dimensions in three directions. The main equipment of vibration forming is vibration forming machine.
(4) Isostatic pressing method. The isostatic pressing method is to put the ground aleurone into an elastic mold made of rubber or plastic, seal it and put it in a high-pressure container, inject a liquid medium (oil or water) with an ultra-high pressure pump, The elastic mold is evenly pressed from all directions, so that the paste is pressed and shaped. Isostatic pressing is suitable for producing isotropic green bodies and various shaped green bodies. The isostatic pressing forming equipment is an isostatic pressing forming machine. Compression molding is mainly used in the electric carbon industry to produce carbon fiber green bodies for brush blocks and mechanical seals, and can also be used for the production of cold-pressed graphite green bodies that are not too large in size. Extrusion molding is widely used in the production of graphite electrode green bodies, and can also be used in the molding of carbon blocks and graphite block green bodies. Vibration forming is mainly used in the production of prebaked carbon anode, carbon block and carbon electrode green body.
