2. Isostatic pressing and isostatic pressing
Isostatic pressure: refers to the state of applying equal pressure to the sealing material in all directions at the same time.
Isostatic pressing: The material to be pressed is sealed and placed in a high-pressure container, and the material is uniformly pressurized from all directions by using the incompressibility and equal pressure transfer characteristics of the liquid medium. When the liquid medium is injected into the pressure vessel through the pressure pump, its pressure is constant and is uniformly transmitted to all directions according to the principle of fluid mechanics, so the pressure on the powder in the high-pressure vessel is uniform in all directions. The method of pressing powder into a green body by the above method is called isostatic pressing.
