About the Industry Ceramic Molding
What are the uses of ceramic bearings
1.Automobile
Bearings used in automobiles with high speed requirements are turbocharger bearings, which require bearings with good acceleration responsiveness, as well as low torque, low vibration and low temperature rise under high speed rotation. As it works with low temperature rise, it is able to reduce the amount of lubricating oil, thus the oil stirring resistance is reduced, the bearing torque is reduced and the speed is increased. It is also used in rail vehicles, where its durability under harsh conditions and reliability has been proven.
2.Motor
Electric motors can be insulated for a long time by using it. When electric motors are used with dry deceleration and energy-saving devices, the internal leakage can cause the phenomenon of arc discharge.
3.Aero-engine
In the aero-engine fuel pump, it can work for a long time in liquid oxygen, liquid hydrogen medium, it has been proved that the process of 50 times through the launch without damage
4. aircraft parts
Aircraft manufacturing industry has been equipped with ceramic balls ball screw with dry aircraft flap regulator, also try to mix ceramic bearings with dry air turbine engine.
The Methods of Industry Ceramic Molding
1. The way industrial ceramics dry pressing molding
"Dry pressing" using pressure to press the industrial ceramic powder into a certain shape of the blank, in fact, under the action of external forces, the powder particles in the mold close to each other, and by internal friction firmly combined to maintain a certain shape.
The main defect in dry pressed billets is lamellar cracking, which is due to the internal friction between the powder and the friction between the powder and the mold wall, resulting in the pressure loss inside the billet.
The advantages of dry pressing of industrial ceramics are: accurate billet size, simple operation, easy to realize mechanized operation; less moisture and bonding agent content in dry pressed raw billet, less drying and firing shrinkage.
It is mainly used for forming simple shape products and the length-to-diameter ratio should be small. The higher production cost caused by mold wear is the shortcoming of dry pressing molding.
2. Isostatic molding method of industrial ceramics
"Isostatic molding" is a special molding method developed on the basis of traditional dry pressing.
It uses fluid to transfer pressure to the powder in the flexible mold from all directions uniformly due to the consistency of the internal pressure of the fluid, the powder is subjected to the same pressure in all directions, and therefore can avoid the difference in density within the blank.
Wet bag type isostatic pressing: can form more complex shape of products, but only intermittent operation.
Dry bag type isostatic pressing: can realize automatic continuous operation, but can only form products with simple shapes such as square, round and tubular cross-section.
Isostatic forming can obtain uniform and dense blank, industrial ceramics sintering shrinkage is small and uniform shrinkage in all directions, but the equipment is more complex, expensive, production efficiency is not high, only suitable for the production of special requirements of the material.
